Safeparks/Parksec Crime Update: 21 May- 31 May 2017

The following includes crimes reported to us over the period

More details relating to the incidents listed above:
Parkhurst
-Property theft occurred on 6th street, suspects accessed the unoccupied property through the garage and stole a ladder.
-Hi-jacking occurred on 19th street, 3 armed bravo males approached the victim who drove into the garage with a Mercedes Benz (Reg. No: BD86MXGP), the suspects took the vehcile, jewelry and a bag.
-Theft of Motor Vehicle occurred on 8th street, suspects arrived in a white VW Polo and two Bravo males got into a silver VW Polo (Reg no: FV76TSGP) and drove off. The silver VW Polo was later found in Soweto.
-All other incidents listed above are incidents reported to SAPS for the above period and thus details of the incidents are not available.

Parktown North
-House Burglary occurred on 5th avenue, the suspect entered the premises via the gate and stole sunglasses from a vehicle parked inside but unlocked and a laptop from the cottage which was unlocked.

ALERTS:
-Increase in cellphone theft on 4th avenue especially the restaurants near 6th street, please be alert when talking on your phone in the street or putting your phone on the table when sitting outside at restaurants.
